Maya Hu-Chan is an international management consultant, executive coach and author. She specializes in global leadership, executive coaching and cross-cultural business skills. She was rated one of the “Top Eight Global Solutions Thinkers” (Thinkers50), “World’s Top 30 Leadership Gurus,” and “Top 100 Thought Leaders in Management & Leadership” (Leadership Excellence).

Harvard Business School chose her book Global Leadership: The Next Generation to be one of their Working Knowledge recommended books.

Since 1988, Maya Hu-Chan has trained and coached thousands of leaders in “Global Fortune 500” companies in the Americas, Asia, and Europe. She has worked extensively in China, India, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan and Australia, helping global companies to develop their senior executives and high-potential leaders as well as their teams.

In addition to “Global Leadership: The Next Generation” she is also a contributing author on several business and leadership books. Maya is a frequent contributor and interviewee to a wide range of business publications and media, including: BusinessWeek, Harvard Business Online, Bloomberg, OD Practitioner, Leadership Excellence, Business Coaching Worldwide, SmartBrief on Leadership, Voice America’s Insight on Coaching and Asia Media. Prior to her consulting career, Maya Hu-Chan was an anchor for the China Broadcasting Company in Taiwan, and the CEO of a non-profit organization in California.

She has lectured at the Brookings Institution, University of California San Diego, University of Southern California, Penn State University, and University of Chicago.

Maya earned her B.A. in Journalism from National Chengchi University in Taiwan, and Master’s degree in Communications from University of Pennsylvania.
